HA2S: First Workshop on Human Attribute Analysis in Surveillance

Workshop at FG 2019

Call for Papers

FG 2019 Workshop on Human Attribute Analysis in Surveillance (HA2S 2019):

The human attribute describes categorical information about people, which include age, gender, ethnicity, accessories and clothing characteristics. It provides rich labels of people besides the identity. Although human attribute cannot provide an unique description for authentication, it is sufficient for retrieving people from a large dataset and screening out irrelevant instances. From the user's viewpoint, middle-level attribute is easy to understand. It provides a new way of human-machine interaction and a potential approach for bridging the semantic gap of current machine learning techniques. The first HA2S workshop at FG’19 aims to advance current research on human attribute analysis especially in surveillance scenarios.

Topics for the workshop include but are not limited to:

1. Facial attribute recognition

2. Pedestrian attribute recognition

3. Gender recognition

4. Age estimation

5. Clothing attribute analysis

6. Group attribute recognition

7. Attribute assisted face recognition/person re-identification

8. Applications in surveillance
